![]() Nerf and all related properties are trademarks of Hasbro. It comes with 8 Official Nerf Elite darts that are tested and approved for performance and quality and constructed of foam with flexible, hollow tips. The rotating drum has an 8-dart capacity, so you can prime and blast multiple times before you need to reload. Hammer the competition with the Nerf Alpha Strike Hammerstorm blaster! It features hammer-priming action to ready it to fire - pull back the hammer, line up your shot, and press the trigger to unleash 1 dart. And if you’re already a Nerf fan, these blasters make great additions for your Nerf collection! They’re easy to use so first-time battlers can begin blasting fast. It might sound weird, but we should embrace them as a post-sale community to ensure their relevancy remains going forward.Start blasting with Alpha Strike blasters from Nerf, the number one blaster brand*! If you’re new to the Nerf brand, Alpha Strike blasters are an awesome way to get into adrenaline-pumping Nerf battles and experience the power and performance of the Nerf brand. I cannot speak to your point regarding nerf arena/businesses, but I am concerned about having these end up in the landfill prematurely (hence the points above). The simpler shell lines for some of these are perfect for both aesthetic and performance modification options. If these sell well and saturate some segment of the market, a mod I come up with or a set of files I release for free may have a larger impact. The incredibly simplified nature of the shells and the lower investment cost is alluring to me as a maker and modder. They cost next to nothing, and, invariably someone is going to want to stand out among their peers or play more than the "group allotted time".and the NIC is here waiting. That said, there's two POTENTIALLY positive takeaways here: They look cheap, and no amount of shill will convince me they're somehow progressing or bringing innovation to the stock of blasters we have out in the wild. Corners have been cut, and the blasters lack all of the usual bells, whistles and comfort we're accustomed to for Nerf releases. So let me start off by saying I agree the entire line is an obvious response meant to recuperate lost market share to third parties (for Hasbro). I'd love to hear your take on these new blasters. These are just my thoughts, opinions, and conjecture. ![]() The one up-side I see to them is that at a cheaper price point it could possibly garner more interest in the hobby from those who may not have considered it before. ![]() I think these blasters will ultimately hurt the business of "for hire dart wars" and "dart war arenas" as parents and party planners will just buy these blasters and extra darts instead of paying a little more for a better experience with knowledgeable experts.Īs far as the NIC is concerned, I don't think the majority will find them attractive for anything much more than loaner blasters. They will flood thrift store shelves (not the worst option) and many will likely end up in the garbage (the worst). ![]() The blasters will be used for a short time and then be discarded. They are targeted at parents throwing birthday parties for their kids and party planners looking for a cheap "team building" activity alternatives. They are low quality, uncomfortable, unmoddable toy junk.
